Cover: new Calendrio Book now button and WordPress plugin for your site

Your clients visit your site, find your prices, make up their mind… then have to look for how to book. Every extra click is a booking that can be lost. Calendrio is releasing something new to fix that: a “Book now” button in your style, to place wherever you want on your site, with a ready-to-install WordPress plugin.

Here is what changes, and how to set it up in a few minutes.

A button that looks like your site

The button no longer has a single look. You design your own, and a preview updates as you choose:

  • The shape: rounded, square, pill or round.
  • The size: small, medium or large.
  • The colors: the button color and the text color, to keep the same identity as your site.
  • The text: “Book now”, “Make an appointment” or whatever you like, in the language of your choice (French, English, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Turkish or Arabic).
  • The place: inside a page, at the exact spot you choose, or as a floating button visible on every page, in a corner or on the side.

The WordPress plugin, step by step

If your site runs on WordPress, the simplest way is to install the Calendrio plugin:

  1. Download the plugin from the “Calendrio on your site” page.
  2. In WordPress, open Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, choose the file, then activate it.
  3. Open the Calendrio menu in the left column, enter your booking link and tick the connection box.
  4. In the Display tab, choose the shape, size, colors and position.
  5. Add the code [calendrio] to a page, or tick “floating button” to show it everywhere.

The plugin is free. It needs a Calendrio account, which remains the only place where your slots, payments and settings are managed.

A site that isn't WordPress?

Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Shopify or a hand-made site: the “Calendrio on your site” page contains the same button designer. You get one line of code to copy into an “HTML code” block of your site, and the button appears.

After booking, the client comes back to your site

When a client clicks the button, your booking page opens in a new tab: they choose their slot and, if you turned it on, pay their deposit online securely. At the end, a “Back to the website” button appears on the confirmation page and takes them back to the page they were on. They don't lose track of their visit, and you keep your visitor on your site.

This return is a simple link: nothing redirects the client unless they decide to, and the button never leads to an address that doesn't match the site they came from.

How much does it cost?

The button and the plugin are available with all plans. On the free plans and during the trial, a small “Powered by Calendrio” mention appears under the button; it disappears with the Pro plan. Details are on the pricing page.

Why a button rather than an embedded form?

Browsers block the cookies of one site inside another site, and secure online payment needs a page of its own. With a button that opens your Calendrio page, booking and payment work like on your usual page, with all your settings: services, durations, deposit, reminders.

To try it, create your account for free (one-month trial, no credit card), then go to “Calendrio on your site”. And if you have an idea to improve the button, write to us: we build Calendrio with your feedback.
